Our Team

Mikal brings over 22 years of experience in the eye care field, with a strong passion for helping patients achieve their best vision. She specializes in educating patients on selecting the right lenses to fit their lifestyle and visual needs. As a mom of two, Mikal has a special interest in working with children and ensuring their vision is protected as they grow.

She also enjoys staying informed on advancements in dry eye treatment and management. As the Director of Practice Excellence, Mikal is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care.

Outside of the oRice, she enjoys cooking, attending baseball and softball games, and reading.

Natalie enjoys helping patients find eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style. While new to the optical field, she brings years of customer service experience and a passion for building relationships that help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.

She is dedicated to creating a welcoming, personalized experience and loves seeing patients leave happy with their eyewear choices. She is proud to be part of a team committed to exceptional patient care and individualized service.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family and serving alongside her husband through their church. As a devoted wife, mother, and active member of her community, she values the relationships and connections that make life meaningful.

Peyton is our Lead Vision Care Specialist who has been serving patients in eye care since 2020. An Asheville native, she is passionate about providing exceptional care to her local community.

She has a special interest in pediatric eye exams, myopia control, and dry eye treatment, and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit. In her role, Peyton performs pre-testing, assists with contact lens services, and supports dry eye treatments. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming experience where patients feel cared for like family while receiving high-quality vision care.

Outside of work, Peyton enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, volunteering through her church, and making memories with her niece and nephew.

Holly is one of our Vision Care Specialist who is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She is currently attending Haywood Community College and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, where she is working toward Associate Degrees in Arts and General Education Nursing. Holly hopes to continue her education at Western Carolina University to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and become a Registered Nurse. With a year of pharmacy experience, she enjoys helping patients understand and improve their eye health while making a positive difference in their lives. Outside of work, Holly loves traveling, spending time with family, and staying active through skiing, golf, and tennis.
She is also actively involved in mission outreach through her church and is committed to serving others both inside and outside the office.

Rhonda is the Patient Welcome Coordinator at Vision Source South Asheville who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for every patient. A graduate of Pisgah High School, she brings 46 years of accounts receivable and customer service experience, along with a passion for helping patients of all ages receive the vision care they need. Rhonda loves meeting new people, building lasting relationships, and making each patient feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her parents, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, listening to gospel music, and singing. She also loves relaxing at the lake and making special memories with her family. Rhonda is dedicated to ensuring every patient has a positive and friendly experience at Vision Source South Asheville.

Christine is the Patient Care Coordinator who helps create a welcoming and positive experience for every patient. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Luzon State University and is a Licensed Professional Teacher. Her background includes experience as a researcher, college biology instructor, and customer service representative, providing her with strong communication and organizational skills.

Christine enjoys assisting patients, answering questions, and ensuring that each visit runs smoothly. She is committed to providing friendly, attentive support and making every patient feel comfortable and valued.

Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring nature, reading about science and health, watching documentaries, and traveling. Her passion for learning and helping others is reflected in everything she does, making her an integral part of the team at Vision Source South Asheville.

Mark serves as the Director of Strategic Growth at Vision Source South Asheville, where he helps guide the practice’s long-term vision and strategic direction. Taking a high-
level view of operations, he focuses on identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, support sustainable growth, and enhance the overall patient experience.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Science degree from the College for Financial Planning. Mark is also a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional, bringing a disciplined and analytical approach to organizational planning and decision-making.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. He is passionate about helping Vision Source South Asheville continue to grow while delivering exceptional, personalized care to the community.
